Mark Wahlberg surprised marathon runners from the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital team this weekend. He pumped everyone up and also spoke about his upcoming movie Patriots Day, explaining that when they first came to him, he was reluctant. After reading the script which he called “powerful,” he decided he would rather be a part of it than let someone else try to do it justice. He promised it will make Bostonians proud.
Jared Leto Met with Psychopaths to Play Joker
Jared Leto revealed that to prepare for his role as the Joker in Suicide Squad, he actually met with doctors, psychiatrists and real-life psychopaths who had committed heinous crimes and had been institutionalized to understand what makes them tick. (THAT WOULD TERRIFY ME.)
George Clooney Agrees He Sucked as Batman
This is too funny. George Clooney was heckled by protesters outside of his home after hosting a Hillary Clinton fundraiser at over $350,000 per couple. George went to speak with them, and one protestor told him he was the worst Batman – to which George agreed, and said he really had no comeback for that. HAHAHA. Celebrities who are self-aware are the best celebrities.
Chris Brown Documentary Trailer Released
And uh, it’s really good. It’ll be called “Welcome to my Life.” In it, he talks about going from America’s Sweetheart to public enemy number 1. He reveals he contemplated suicide and said that if you think his career is done, you shouldn’t bet on it. I genuinely can’t wait to see this movie.
Leo DiCaprio & Rihanna Ignite Rumors
…Speaking of Rihanna, Leonardo DiCaprio sparked romance rumors again between the two of them when they were seen cozying up together at a party during Coachella. (OK let’s be honest though: didn’t we all at some point have someone in our life who wasn’t really a boyfriend or a girlfriend but we hooked up with them for way too long? I say, get it RiRi!)
Beyonce Releases Mysterious Lemonade Trailer
WTF. Beyonce released a trailer for a project that she’s debuting on HBO… with little to no explanation. It’s entitled Lemonade, and we have no idea if it’s a new single, an album, a documentary, or what. The whole thing is a combination of nature sounds, silence, whispers and short bursts of horror movie sound effects. It’ll air April 23rd at 9 on HBO.
John Legend’s Baby Girl has Arrived!
John Legend and Chrissy Tiegen welcomed their little girl to the world on Thursday though it was only announced this weekend. Luna Simone Stephens – which is John’s real last name – was born at 6 pounds, 11 ounces. Mom and baby are doing great. I have a feeling they’re going to make some kick-ass parents.
Johnny Depp & Amber Heard’s Awkward “Apology” Video
This is amazing. Johnny Depp’s wife Amber Heard pleaded guilty to not registering their dogs and not following protocol when she visited Johnny in Australia months ago. She avoided jail time by pleading guilty, and as part of the deal also had to make a bizarre video with Johnny about the importance Australia’s laws. It’s so freaking awkward that it’s amazing. They genuinely don’t give AF about the issue, and it’s hilarious.
